Approval may be required if you wish to build over or near a wastewater or water main, connection point, man hole or other Allconnex Water underground infrastructure.

An application needs to be submitted if the structure is within the required setback distances:

• 2.0m to Allconnex Water infrastructure.
• 2.0m to house connection points.
• 2.5m access for maintenance purposes is required from the road frontage to the maintenance hole.

You also cannot cover any maintenance holes with landscaping or retaining walls, however you can apply to raise the maintenance hole.

If you need to know details of existing sewer lines on your property you can purchase a copy of the property “As Constructed” plans from Logan City Council’s Development Enquiries Counter.
