Fees and charges required by Federal and State Government legislation create a fairer system of pricing trade waste.
The higher the pollutant loading and the greater the volume, the higher the conveyance and treatment costs. The lower the pollutant loading and the lower the volume, the lower the conveyance and treatment costs. These conveyance and treatment costs are then borne by the business according to their pollutant and volume category.
Conveyance and treatment charges
Allconnex Water applies a fee for treating trade waste. A typical trade waste account issued annually includes the base charge for the current financial year, together with conveyance and treatment charges for the previous financial year.

Businesses generating high strength trade waste (Category 3) are charged per kilolitre, plus additional charges apply to treat the following:
- BOD - biological oxygen demand
- NFR - non-filterable residue
- COD - chemical oxygen demand
- TOG - total oil and grease
Additional charges are also incurred if your trade waste exceeds lawful limits of particular materials.

Quality Analysis Charge 2011/2012
An additional charge applies where trade waste quality analysis is undertaken in addition to the standard audit analysis performed as part of the Fixed Base Charge. These charges are $298.78 for contract customers and $326.21 for default customers.
