Recycled water

Recycled water is derived from wastewater. Stringent environmental and health guidelines are in place to ensure recycled water is used appropriately.

Recycled water is used for non-drinking purposes. It is climate resilient, reliable and an alternative to potable (drinking) water.

Using recycled water reduces the:

  • Amount of wastewater released into the environment.
  • Amount of nutrients entering our seaways and improving its health.
  • Demand on potable (drinking) water reserves.

Allconnex Water has a range of recycled water products. These include:

  • Class A+ recycled water by dual reticulation.
  • Class A to C recycled water products to industrial/commercial customers.

We have a number of initiatives involving industrial recycled water use. These include:

  • Recycled water carriers.
  • Non-residential connections to the recycled water network.
  • Recycled water quality.
  • Recycled water training.
