When will I get my next water and wastewater account?

Gold Coast customers will receive their next water and wastewater account from Allconnex Water from February 2012.


Allconnex Water is being disestablished and going back to Gold Coast City Council. Why can’t I pay them my water charges?

In accordance with draft State Government legislation, Allconnex Water is to be disestablished from 1 July 2012. Until then, Allconnex Water will continue to deliver water and wastewater services to Gold Coast customers until 30 June 2012. As a result, water charges will need to be paid to Allconnex Water.


Will my details transfer to Gold Coast City Council on 1 July 2012 if I complete a direct debit form?

You may need to complete a new direct debit form when Gold Coast City Council takes back control of water and wastewater services due to privacy reasons.

 

What is the current price of water?

The Gold Coast water consumption price per kilolitre is $2.9858. This includes the State Government bulk water charge.

The Gold Coast water service charge is $177.16 (20mm equivalent) half year for business.

Will Allconnex Water continue to offer a discount if I have a concealed leak?

Yes, Allconnex Water does offer relief to customers who can prove they have experienced a concealed leak. Please click here for more information on concealed leak remissions and how to check for leaks.


What am I actually paying for?

The different water charges are:

    • Water consumption – for the water you have used, as measured by your water meter.
    • Water service charge - for ongoing connection to Allconnex Water’s distribution system.
    • Wastewater service charge - for ongoing connection to Allconnex Water’s wastewater distribution system.
    • A wastewater volumetric charge for non-residential properties as appropriate – this is wastewater that has been released into the wastewater distribution system and is based on your water consumption and industry type.
    • Trade waste quality charges for businesses as appropriate.
    • Class A+ recycled water consumption charge - the water you have used, as measured by your purple recycled water meter. Pimpama Coomera Waterfuture Master Plan customers only. 


How can I pay an Allconnex Water account?

A list of payment options can be viewed on the back of your water and wastewater account. They can also be found at Gold Coast - ways to pay.


Will my account reference number be the same as my rate assessment number?

Your water and wastewater account is different to your rate assessment. Your Allconnex Water reference number will need to be used when making payments.

 

What BPAY Biller Code number do I use to pay my Allconnex water and wastewater account?

The correct Gold Coast BPAY Biller Code number to use is 868745.


Why can’t I pay my Gold Coast account online?

At this time, Allconnex Water does not have an online banking facility. You can however, pay online with your bank by BPAY using BPAY Biller Code no. 868745. Please use the reference number that is shown on your account.

 

I live on the Gold Coast – why are there different BPAY Biller Code numbers for Allconnex Water and Gold Coast City Council?

Allconnex Water’s billing is separate from Gold Coast City Council’s rate notice. As they are separate organisations, the Gold Coast customer payment methods are different. This includes the BPAY Biller Code numbers.

 

Can I pay my Gold Coast water account by BPAY using Gold Coast City Council’s  BPAY Biller Code number?

No, customers are unable to pay by BPAY using Gold Coast City Council’s  BPAY Biller Code number.

Gold Coast customers must use BPAY Biller Code no. 868745 and the reference number that is on their Gold Coast water and wastewater account


Can I get my water and wastewater account sent to a different address to my rate notice?

Although your water and wastewater account is issued by Allconnex Water, it is still produced from Gold Coast City Council’s billing system. Unfortunately, this means that you cannot have your water and wastewater account sent to a different address to your rates notice. If you change your address for your water and wastewater account it will mean that your address for your rates notice will also change.

If you would like to change your address for your July 2012 account, please contact us and we can do this for you. This change needs to be made by May 2012. Unfortunately, it is too late to change your address details for your January 2012 account.


Can I elect how often I receive my water and wastewater account?

At this stage you will continue to receive your water and wastewater account on a half yearly basis, similar to your Gold Coast rate notice.


What happens if I can't pay my account?

Please call Allconnex Water on 1300 000 WATER (1300 000 928) to discuss a range of payment assistance options for customers who are experiencing difficulties paying their account.

Where can I go to pay my account?

We have established our own front counter within the Gold Coast City Council administration building at 135 Bundall Road, Bundall, Gold Coast, where our team is assisting customers to make payments, and submit forms and applications.

Customers can also pay their account at any Australia Post office or Commonwealth Bank branch.
