Water price variances

The Queensland Government sets the bulk water costs.

Prices vary between Gold Coast, Logan and Redland as each area has different bulk water costs and infrastructure needs.

Water and wastewater charges for business

The different charges for businesses are:

• Water service charge - charged in advance and is a set charge, independent of the volume of water used.
• Water consumption - charged per kilolitre (1000 litres) and is based on your water consumption from the previous period. Water consumption charges can only be charged after you have used the water.
• Wastewater service charge - charged in advance and is a set charge, independent of the volume of water used.
• Wastewater volumetric charge - may also be charged per kilolitre (1000 litres). This charge would be based on your water consumption over the previous period. Water consumption charges can only be calculated once you have used the water.
• Class A+ recycled water consumption charge - charged per kilolitre (1000 litres) and is based on your consumption from the previous period. These consumption charges can only be charged after you have used the water. Pimpama Coomera Water Future Master Plan customers only.
