The Logan district is divided into three separate planning areas as a result of the Local Government Amalgamations of March 2008, as shown on the map (click for more detail).
Each area currently has its own planning scheme.

Logan North
Logan North is the area defined by the limits of Logan City prior to the local government amalgamation in March 2008.
The Logan Planning Scheme applies to this area.

Logan South is the area of Logan that was formerly the northern half of the Beaudesert Shire.
The Beaudesert Planning Scheme applies in this area.
Please note that Scenic Rim Regional Council and Queensland Urban Utilities are responsible for the standards set in the Southern Beaudesert area as defined by the Beaudesert Planning Scheme managed by Scenic Rim Regional Council and Queensland Urban Utilities.
