Not afraid to get your hands dirty?
Allconnex Water has partnered with Gold Coast City Council to provide free gardening workshops where you can learn about composting, worm farming and water efficiency so you can create your own sustainable garden.
We will provide you with the knowledge and skills to reduce the production of household solid waste through composting and worm farming. It’s a great way to use vegetable scraps, tea leaves, eggshells, small amounts of paper, house dust and even garden clippings.
Combine this with learning new water saving techniques such as mulching and plant grouping to greatly reduce the consumption of water in your garden.
Workshops will be held from 10am to noon on a Saturday.
To register phone (07) 5581 6799 or go to www.greengc.com.au.
