Garden Watersaver program

An integral part of Allconnex Water’s Garden Watersaver program is to provide training in garden water conservation practices to people who have a significant influence over water use. These include members of the nursery, landscaping and irrigation industries as well as local residents who are keen to learn more about water efficient gardening, especially in times of water restrictions.

Allconnex Water will be offering free, sustainable gardening workshops to Gardening workshop buttoncommunity members to promote water efficient gardening through composting, worm farming, plant grouping and mulching.

The Garden Watersaver guide

One place where you can save water is in your garden. Traditional English gardens struggle in our subtropical climate, whereas Australian natives do well, as do species from places with similar climates. By implementing water saving techniques like mulching and choosing plants that suit our climate, we will reduce the amount of water needed by our gardens.

Watersaver gardening is exciting, challenging and sustainable!
