Queensland’s water supplies are under increasing pressure due to environmental factors and population growth. Tourism operators play an important role in educating visitors on how to save and protect our water resources. For this reason Allconnex Water has developed the Holiday Watersaver Program.
The Holiday Watersaver Program aims to:
- Educate tourism and accommodation providers on how to achieve better water efficiency in their business.
- Educate visitors on how to be water efficient during their stay.
- Showcase the range of activities and venues in the region.
A key element of the program is a range of water conservation materials which have been designed to help hotels, motels and holiday rental apartments communicate the importance of water efficiency to guests. Case studies demonstrating best practice initiatives are also an important part of the program.
