Trade waste (99kb) is liquid waste generated from any business (commercial or industrial) such as restaurants, service stations, spray painters, butchers, commercial laundries, cafes and shopping centres.
If trade waste is likely to be generated on your premises, you must apply to Allconnex Water for a Trade Waste Approval.
The application must be lodged by the property owner (or their agent) and operator before trading begins. As part of your application you will need to supply detail about your proposed method of treatment to ensure the trade waste meets the sewer admission limits.
Allconnex Water controls trade waste under local area trade waste policies and the trade waste law relating to the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008. A complete list of relevant legislation and regulation is below.
