Water carriers are no longer able to load at hydrants in residential streets in the Redlands. 

Instead, water carriers must use the filling stations conveniently located at Ney Road, Capalaba and Valley Way, Mount Cotton.

Drawing water from the filling stations reduces costs - water carriers no longer need to hire a standpipe and pay monthly fees and an up-front bond.

It also reduces the impact on the community by alleviating the need for large trucks to access hydrants in front of residents' homes.

To access the filling stations and the Allconnex Water supply system, water carriers must obtain a permit to draw water (60kb) from Allconnex Water and a prepaid electronic card.
